Afraid I sit here staring out this window.
Looking at the moon, longing to be under the stars
Yet I won't dare walk out that door
I'm to afraid to be out there alone
With all the sounds and shadows
My fears hold me from many things I love
I miss the crisp night air
I stand at the door
Wishing and praying I had the strength to open it
My heart pounds as I turn the knob
A shadow dances across the ground
With a heavy sigh I return to my window

I ask myself Is this real?
Could this be true?
Am I really falling for you again?
Can I take this leap?
Will it be different this time?
These are all the things I am asking myself
Will I be able to stand at your side and forget about the past?
I think of all these things and wonder
Can I really do this?
Then I close my eyes,
I can see you smiling at me the way you used to
And I know the answer to every question in my mind

I've been trying to write the last few days, but the words won't come. Well at least not how I want them to. Maybe once all the holiday stuff is over I'll have some really good stuff up.
